Design-First Landscaping Solutions

Landscaping goes beyond choosing the right plants and grass. It sets the foundation for how your entire outdoor space looks and functions. At Yard Works Gulf Coast, we provide landscaping services in Friendswood as part of complete backyard transformations, where patios, outdoor kitchens, fire features, turf, and planting all work together.

As a turnkey outdoor living contractor, we handle the full process in-house. From design and planning to engineering, permitting, and construction, every phase is managed by one team. This all-in-one-place approach allows us to deliver consistent results without coordinating multiple contractors.

Our team is local and veteran-owned, with a focus on building higher-end outdoor spaces that are planned correctly from the start and built to last.

Landscaping That Supports Your Full Space

We approach landscaping as part of the overall layout, not as a separate service. Every element is planned to support how the space will be used and how it connects with surrounding features.

Landscape Design and Planning

Each project begins with a design-first approach. We create layouts and renderings that show how the entire space will come together before installation begins.

Sod and Lawn Installation

New lawns are installed with proper grading and preparation so they establish quickly and perform well in the long term.

Irrigation Systems

Irrigation is designed in concert with planting and layout to ensure efficient coverage and consistent results.

Drainage Solutions

Drainage is addressed early in the process to prevent standing water and protect both the landscape and the home.

Landscape Lighting

Lighting is integrated to improve visibility and extend how the space can be used in the evening.

Lawn Care and Fertilization

Ongoing services help maintain healthy growth and a consistent appearance.

Edging and Structural Details

Stone borders and edging define the layout and create a clean, finished look.

Ways to Customize Your Landscaping

As a leading custom landscaping company, we have what it takes to build landscapes that are tailored to your property’s layout, soil conditions, and how you use your outdoor space.

A One-Stop Approach to Backyard Projects

Many of our landscaping projects are part of more extensive builds that include patio covers, outdoor kitchens, fire features, artificial turf, and hardscaping. We also work alongside pool builders to ensure the entire backyard is planned together, so no part of the space feels disconnected. Each project includes:

The result is a landscape that looks right, functions properly, and supports everything around it.

Since our backyard makeover, we’ve been outside every day playing with the kids and dog.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Brandon at Yard Works Gulf Coast for the installation of artificial turf and a custom putting green in my backyard, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the results! The crew’s experience with both artificial turf and putting greens was evident, and they ensured the design maximized both aesthetics and functionality. The installation process was smooth and efficient. The crew arrived on time, worked diligently, and kept the area clean throughout the project. Before, our backyard was a constant mud pit and completely unusable! We will absolutely be using Yard Works Gulf Coast for any future projects!

Yard Works saved the day! The yard and landscaping at my new listing needed some REAL TLC. We are scheduled for photos on Thursday and I was panicking. I called Brandon yesterday and he was out first thing this morning, gave us a quote, then had his crew there by 11 and done by 3!! (Left is before. Right is after) I’m SUPER impressed with their response and work! They also maintain our home and offer online invoicing and payments to make it easy. No more putting cash under mats! If you’re looking for yard service on your personal home…

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a pool construction project that started back in March. When we reached out to Brandon and his team, they planned out the irrigation reroute to be done in multiple phases to work around the pool build. They did a fantastic job throughout with communication and getting some work done in tight time windows. Whole crew was outstanding from start to finish! Highly recommend!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We essentially had an empty lot in our new home and used Yard Works for both design and installation after we installed a pool. We were very pleased with both parts of our landscape process. Ernie was thoughtful and had several ideas for us to consider in the design process. We had several suggestions, and Ernie could help us sort through those to come up with a great design that we are very happy with. The variety in colors and plant sizes is excellent. On the second step, Brandon and his crew were very good in putting the design in place. They handled setting up the sprinkler system, drainage, stone paths, building beds and installing the trees and plants. We probably could have used more fresh sod to cover parts of the yard damaged by our pool installation (they did put in a lot, tho) but overall each part came out very well. Brandon was responsive to challenges and quick to replace plants that struggled and redo drainage that wasn't working. The crews were neat and cleaned up. We are very pleased with our experience with Yard Works.
